Celebrating Life
Cherishing and Valuing Orphans and Foster Children
Bridge For Life Ministries host Celebrating Life birthday events. During the events, volunteers take the children out of the facilities for a day of excitement. The children are treated to a meal and given a birthday gift to celebrate their life. As part of the event, the volunteers take the children to educational and fun facilities such as museums, zoos, indoor family entertainment centers, or outdoor amusement parks.
Houseparents involved with the children are also invited to participate in the Celebrating Life events in order to provide a familial atmosphere for the children.
By participating in these activities with the children, the volunteers create a foundation for a relationship with the children, esteeming them and establishing a sense of worth within the children. The ages of the children range from infancy to eighteen years of age.
